Family "Perler Bead" Time

Wow! It must be so cool to have an art teacher for a mom. Yeah! We have to do these dumb crafts all the time!! She never just lets us sit and be bored....

I didn't know to laugh or cry when I overhead this conversation... "dumb crafts" Oh well! Once again, I persuaded my family into making "Perler Bead" projects... they all obliged - even Andy Hayes and the Ging! They all came up with some really unique ideas! They're my family and I love 'em. Maybe they love me back - me and my "dumb crafts"! (~:

The Tornado in Childress

June 15, 2008 "Father's Day"
Childress, Texas was hit by straight winds of 80 mph from the east!! Every one in Childress suffered damaged - What a night! We were all safe in Kyle's Aunt Rosie's cellar (down the street with Rosie, the Randy Allen family and Dallas). We did not suffer a great deal of damage - but WOW - it was something! The third pictures shows all the hail on the ground afterward. The other pics are of our backyard and our damaged fence. The hail was deep and cold - in June! Summer Tie Dye Party - Family Style!

This June, the whole family -including "Ging", all tie-dyed something. My last project with my advanced art class was to tie dye t-shirts and that inspired us to do something for the summer while Andy was here! We had a blast and excellent results!

Andy even dyed his girlfriend back in Alabama (Hi Savannah) some unique items!! Andy enjoyed it so much, he went and got more t-shirts along with dye kits and did more the next day! "He IS like his mother!" hee hee!

"Everyone else is doing it..." BLOGGING! Kyle is laughing, because I have had a BAD ): attitude to blogging, blogs and bloggers... UNTIL I started reading blogs and OMG - the things you find out about people that "you thought you knew"!!

We've enjoyed reading from our friends' blogs and catching up on all the news through the summer.

Also Kyle and I have attended CISD's Tech Camp and went to a "Blogging" workshop. Maybe it's time that "The Vannoy's" have a blog... we shall see!
