Floyd Family Reunion

Hello!
Summer is in full swing!

Days are long and hot with nights that are stress-free - just like we want them!
Thank goodness for the summer; it offers the balm needed when things begin to get hectic and so busy during the rest of the year!

The family headed down south to spend some time with my maternal grandmother's family
 The  FLOYDS!
My grandmother - Liz Kitchens, had a huge family; only 2 siblings are still with us today and both were at the reunion.  It was a JOY to see and visit with them and the rest of the family!  We had around 80 family members make the reunion at the ranch in Albany -

We went Friday - and stayed in our very first Bed & Breakfast!  This was a delight - We stayed at
"The
Keeping Room"
 in Breckenridge, Tx.
This very unique and comfortable B&B is ran by Brady & LaVerle Tennison - who were both so sweet - making us feel at home instantly!  They even had a corgi dog - named Willie - imagine the boys surprise finding a corgi to love on while they were away from each of their corgi dogs!!
We stayed in the ELVIS room (Ging LOVES Elvis) that featured a queen bed and a wooden sleigh daybed w/a trundle - we all slept VERY well!  We bathed in a claw-footed tub that was so neat!  The boys enjoyed the old-fashion  decorations of the house. We ate a delicious, hearty breakfast the next morning - prepared by LaVerle herself in their elegant dining room!  It was a real treat.  If you are ever that way - we recommend "The Keeping Room" Bed & Breakfast - we will be going back!

The family reunion was held in honor of my Great-Aunt's 90th Birthday (LaVerrel Pittman) on her ranch in Albany - this has become our normal reunion place!
Also, we were tired of the only family gathering being at funerals - so this was a true treat to meet and visit over the weekend with so many relatives!  We even had some travel as far as Oklahoma, Georgia and Chicago to be together!  With so many together, I felt my grandmother there with us - so many pictures and memories...  love my family!

Thanks for letting me share with you today!  KV and I are set for this next week - Aric is attending church camp at Pine Springs (Sacramento, NM) and Alex is headed to Corpus Christi with the FFA team from CHS - so my boys are wide-spread this week (Andy working in Alabama, Aric in the mountains and Alex at the beach)!  KV has to spend a week retesting in the mornings, BUT - I have him all to myself this week - can't wait!  I've got a LONG LIST of "Honey Do's" ready... LOL!

Remember to hug the ones you love the most, until next time...
