This post is a "BRAG" about my husband!
He's doing awesome stuff in our yard this year! Can ya believe it? He has been motivated to make a specular-looking yard out of ours this summer - and he's off to a great start. Someone has grabbed this man and dipped, not only his thumb, but his WHOLE hand into the "green" bucket - LOL! Check it out! We have a new "Yaupon Holly", some new "Waxleaf Ligustrum" bushes, also a couple of new "Hibiscus Trees"... they all look soooooooo pretty!
After Aric's baseball game on Saturday morning - we headed out to collect Texas Wildflower's for Aric's 4th grade Texas History project! We had to grab a couple of geocaches along the way - found 50% - 2 out of 4 this time - argh! KV found some great buys on plants and flowers. He's STILL putting out all that he bought from the nursery in big V-town!

Got to share something with you - a couple of weeks ago, I posted a "Whoopie Pie" recipe - these are great; BUT the "Red Velvet" ones are NOW my very favorite ones - they are the BEST! Made some for our prayer group meeting Sunday night - OMG - they are SOOOOooooooo good - and pretty easy using the cake-mix way! Try them when you've got a "sweet tooth" or just a great snack! Warning - they are RICH and SWEET! Gonna try LEMON tonight... will let you know how those taste - can't wait!
