For March, I was able to create some crocheted sleeves in some "shabby chic" designs.
First up is a denim jacket! I cut the sleeves out of a denim jacket that I had in the closet and inserted crocheted sleeves! In the construction of the sleeves, I used a low-pilling acrylic yarn with a "granny square" stitch; the standard cluster of three double stitches with a 5.5 hook. I started with crocheting the cuff and started with the stitching, adding on gradually to fit the opening of the jacket. To insert and sew in, I used a thicker type of thread and attached the yarned sleeve to the denim jacket.
Next project to share is adding crochet sleeves to a vintage T-Shirts! This project has been in the making since last summer, and FINALLY getting to it now!
I chose to sew in the sleeve arm about 1/2 inch and add a running stitch with yarn in that seam. Then attaching to the yarn stitch, started with a double stitch and chain series. After the first row, switched up the stitching to use a treble and chain series for the desired length of the arm. Then finished with a standard cuff of 10 stitches with single stich in the back loop to make the standard ridges in a cuff!

First is a Grandfather Style Cardigan! THIS project was so fun, and I was led through each step with a TikTok-er, "Crafting Mama; she made individual videos for each step of crocheting the cardigan. 
The next blanket was a collaboration of both Kyle and me - the Snow Apocalypse blanket.
We each received a Christmas Advent Yarn Calendar. The calendar held just a small skein of colored yarn in 24 of the boxes - the 25th had crochet notions!
It wasn't a lot of yarn, so we added a couple of skeins of white yarn that had a small halo to the texture of the yarn. We thought this added to the snowy effect for the snowflake.
Kyle crocheted all the snowflake designs in each square, and I crocheted the color square around the snowflake to complete the granny square.
We finished the blanket during the 2026 Snow weekend that we had in January, hence the name Snow Apocalypse!

Kyle and I have often participated in this stitch-along. There is ALWAYS something new to learn with these squares with crocheting! We each picked 4 colors, along with a white, for each of these blankets using 100% acrylic yarn and a size 6 crochet hook.
Here is Kyle's blanket. He combined squares from the 2023 and 2024 patterns to complete his blanket. His color scheme included light blue, orange, navy, olive, and sunshine yellow. I had reservations about this color scheme, but it works beautifully together! This blanket is so beautiful!
Here is my blanket. I mainly used square patterns from 2024. This year, I used khaki, navy, crimson red, and beige for my color scheme in acrylic yarn. This blanket went to a cousin and his new bride! Hope they enjoy this crocheted blanket for many years!

Presenting to you my 2024 stitch-along blanket that I participated in last year with "Jayda in Stitches". It's a collection of 9" granny squares crocheted with acrylic yarn and 12 different patterns.
It took a year and then some to complete this blanket! Starting in January 2024, I made three blocks of the same pattern with different uses of the pink, white, and red color scheme. Each month had a different crocheted pattern for the 9" square.
36 squares later, I was able to put together and stitch a border to finalize the blanket! I used acrylic yarn, all by Joann's Big Twist brand, to crochet with, and a 5.5 crochet hook. I used a "ladder stitch" to attach the squares together. I followed the unique border by Jayda, along with all the patterns for this 2024 blanket.
Jayda hosts a yearly calendar blanket that always has videos each month that I have often participated in. This one for 2024 was called "Granny's Magical Cupboard" calendar blanket. Here is a link for more info on this with Jayda.

I cannot wait to wrap up in Kyle's beautiful—and perfectly thick—blanket while sipping on a steaming mug of cocoa or curling up with a good book by the fireplace! This pattern is rated EASY but it's full of texture making it a cozy afghan. I know that this blanket will become a cherished addition to our home.
Hello! Kyle finished this crochet square blanket just in time for the Fall and Winter seasons. I may be biased but this blanket is BEAUTIFUL. I wanted to post a couple of pictures of this afghan to show it off to you!

Never heard of a MOOGLY - just wait! It's a CAL (Crochet-A-Long) with 24 patterns that are designed by crocheters all over the world. It's been active since 2014 AND you can go to each year's patterns on this website! https://www.mooglyblog.com/category/2014-afghan-cal Such a treasure-trove of designs and ideas for a blanket. Two patterns for a 12" square per month - 24 squares per year! I can't tell you how much we have learned from completing a MOOGLY in our crocheting skills.
Kyle has completed several squares and is in the process of putting them into a blanket. This is my 2nd MOOGLY and I've already started on the 2024 one!
This blanket is completed with BIG TWIST 100% acrylic yarn with a color scheme of white, mustard, rose pink, ruby red, and beige. I wet-block each square before joining them together.
