2012 State 4-H Round Up

For the FIRST time EVER, Texas State 4-H Round Up was held in Lubbock, Tx on the campus of Texas Tech University!


TTU really rolled out the red carpet for 4-H - they treated us SO NICE at every turn during this event!


Usually the 4-H State Round Up is held at Texas A&M University; so this means that our C-town 4-Her's only had a 3 hour trip to compete, which was
FANTASTIC!

We had a group of 7 4-Hers, 4 adults and 1 "great" extension agent travel to Lubbock and enjoyed a very successful event!  Childress' Soil Judging Team won 1st place and had the top point and 4th point member on their team.  They WON state - yahoo!  I was a coach for our Consumer Team (1st year) and my team of three - ranked 9th out of 28 teams!  My team ranked 14, 20 and 53 out of over 100 participating in Consumer.  Also we had Derrick in Public Speaking and Alex in Share the Fun!  We were VERY busy - running to events and places!  Here are some pictures from the 2012 State 4-H Round Up!
