Once upon a time, when I was a little girl... we had to make do with what we had! We ate meals at home. My mother made most of my clothes... I walked to school (okay - it was 1/2 block to the high school) - but we were content. My! The world has changed! I wonder sometimes if kids will even know how to cook, to sew, to be content... when they are adults.
Have you ever heard the slogan:
"Use it Up / Wear it out / Make it do or / Do without"
Today it's all about going "GREEN" - does that mean somewhat the same thing? Save our earth - use things; quit adding to the trash heaps of forgotten or old items. Hopefully, we can change things for the better.
Money is always an issue. My students were talking the other day and laughing how they dressed. All the money that they spend on clothes and it comes down to -"The rich try to dress poor and the poor try to dress rich". Why? We just need to be ourselves and be content with what we have... easier said than done, huh! Have a great day!
