Recipe Swap - Chili

Happy Fall, Y'all!

It's time for cool weather and

something warm to eat. This weekend, I made 6 lbs of chili for the CHS 4-H luncheon - thought to share this recipe for a simple, but very tasty chili.

Now! This is an ALL MEAT chili - no beans! Where do you stand on chili? Beans or no beans? LOL! Big controversy in Texas or is it nation-wide? The secret ingredient is "Morton's Chili Blend" seasoning! Really! My sweet ML gave me this recipe - we titled it... "Kyle's Chili" Enjoy!

Kyle's Chili
1 Tablespoon "Morton's Chili Blend" seasoning
1/2 tsp Onion Powder
1 lb. Ground Beef
1 8 oz. cans Tomato Sauce
1 cup Water
Salt & Pepper
Brown ground beef in skillet; drain. Add the "Morton's Chili Blend" and onion powder. Add tomato sauce and water. Salt and pepper to taste. Mix and heat thoroughly. Heat in crock-pot for a couple of hours until served. 4-6 servings.

I usually double the recipe - my boys love homemade chili on Frito pies, hot dogs, spaghetti... or just with crackers! This recipe also freezes well!

We had an AWESOME long weekend - with the rain and cool weather - it was wonderful to spend some down time. We watch "home movies" - OMG! I forgot how sweet and little my boys were! Alex cooked up a batch of cupcakes, Aric worked on his baseball cards and "the girls" slept a lot - aren't they getting big?!

Thanks for stopping by! Remember to hug the ones you love the most! Until next time...
