It's my "Blogoversary"!

Today is the beginning of my 3rd year in "blogging"! We were taught how to "blog" during our 2008 Technology Camp - so I tried it... "Happy Blogoversary"! Truly am surprised that I've kept this up, but with a son four states away going to college and friends everywhere - this has proved to be a great communication for all! Thank you for your support (over 21,000 hits so far - WOW)!

So, what has been on YOUR agenda this week? KV and I have started back to school - the kids will begin on Monday. The summer is "just a memory" - but on to writing a new chapter in the book of life!

Love football on Friday (& Thursday) nights, Fall season is so NICE and cool, the NEWNESS of the school year with new beginnings, new students and a whole new agenda... just to name a few things ahead!

This last weekend - we traveled for a quick get-away for school shopping to Amarillo! We spent the night at the DRURY - we were so impressed! (doesn't take much... LOL!) They provided free night snacks - Hot dogs, baked potatoes, salad (it was our supper!) - 24 hour fountain drinks/popcorn, indoor swimming pool, very nice rooms w/ the works (plasma, frig, mw, cm) - we had a terrance view (over a cotton field and Furr's) and then in the morning - a fabulous breakfast! We will definitely stay there again! Mix food with family entertainment + cheap rates ($100 a night for 4) - we're living the good life! LOL! We were able to get shoes for both boys - gotta love having BOYS (1 pair of shoes for school and 1 pair for church - we're done!) Aric is in a 5 1/2 and Alex is a 9 1/2 size of foot - argh! Andy and KV are both 11 1/2 - so.... I'm sharing life with "big feet" males! 0: hahahaha!

Got in the mood for some paper crafting - FINALLY! It's amazing what can happen when you organize, huh! Found my garage AND my studio! So, I've been creating and decorating "Halloween" cards! Went to a "Stampin Up" party and Steph motivated us with these 2 cards at the party - cute cards, huh?
After that party - had to find the "studio" and get busy - "Thanks Steph" - I needed that! Margie made the best "Ice Cream & Fruit" pies... YUM! I'll be hosting the September "Stampin Up" party - the theme will be Halloween - lots of treat ideas - so mark your calendars! I'll have lots of "make 'n takes" and treats to take home (It'll make me decorate "on time" hopefully... for the holiday!)

Gotta post another picture - Alex has finally earned the "approval" from his dad to officially MOW! He has done a great job (and he "likes" it!). KV was thrilled to have help in the yard... KV's super picky... I haven't received the "approval" yet (still lacking on the "pruning" issue also ): LOL!) - so I just get stuck with pulling weeds - YUK!

Here's a BEFORE pic of my newly painted classroom - before THIS YEAR's decoration! The air conditioner is OUT - boo!

The last two days have been very HOT in my classroom! Last week, a transformer blew and took out half of the high school's air conditioning units... hopefully the parts will be in and "in-use" BEFORE the 1st day of school! We're keeping our fingers crossed, anyways!

Hope all is well with you and yours! Thanks for stopping by! Come back often - hopefully with getting back to a regular schedule - my posting on the blog will improve! Have a great week! Hug the ones you love the most!

Are you not teaching Art 2 this year? Garrett got his schedule and he has TWO ag classes!! What is up with that? He is soooo upset he is not having you!

Have a great year!
