Elections at CHS

Hello! Hope you are doing well! Did you have a great Labor Day weekend? Hope you got a chance to rest! We've been busy this week with the usual stuff; sure do enjoy a regular routine!

This week was Class Elections at CHS

Alex was elected SECRETARY for the Freshman class today - all week he has been campaigning. He made signs, displayed a web-based keynote presentation, handed out candy...

This was the first time for us at CHS to hold campaigns in a loooooong time for class offices. Our awesome Government teacher decided that kids could really use this as a learning experience - and it was a great success! Kudos Botos! Pictured here is the freshman class officers; my niece is the one behind Alex - she got Treasurer; you rock Laurin! - told Alex I would make a 8x10 of this picture - him w/4 pretty girls! LOL!

The weather, here in C-Town, has been GREAT! Although, our prayers are lifted up for the ones in AUSTIN/BASTROP area in Texas and all of the surrounding area for fires. It's been a horrific week for them. I am sorry for their loss and we are praying!

The rest of this post is for Andy Hayes - my oldest son in Alabama. Pictures of the Fair Park Lake are included to show how much the water level has dropped over the year - OMG! We've only had about 3" of rain this year - it really has hurt the Texas Panhandle; along with the abundant heat over the summer. Every body of water that Childress has is WAY down and we are still on water restrictions.

Thanks for stopping by! Hope you are having a great week! Remember to hug the ones you love the most! Until next time...
