BEWARE!
Here's another post for October Challenge Cards that I've been busy on this week. I'm working on improving my Publication Resume' for making cards. I've got a "wild hair" to reach some goals - please bare with me! Here we go...
"Monster Mash" card was made for the Just Some Lines Blog Challenge - it's requirements was to make a card that reminds you of a SONG! My song is from the 1962 novelty song by Bobby "Boris" Pickett - "Monster Mash" - it hit #1 on October 20 of that year! SU's "Cast A Spell" designer paper used for the strips, Stampin' Up's retired Bat punch, orange ribbon, striped orange brads, black card stock on kraft card and envie. SU's "Halloween" stamp for the focal point colored with prisma colored pencils. To see the other entries - click here!
Here's the sketch and you make a card according to the layout of that sketch.
Used Stampin' Up's Cajun Craze designer paper set along with matching polka a dot ribbon. Also SU's birthday stamp set "You Take the Cake"
The Halloween card w/the punched moon and the "witch brad" (available here) - is for the for the "Cupcake Challenge #131" - This challenge uses "photo triggers" - for inspiration! Here are the photos given -
Halloween paper, black card stock and bow - along with a stamped "Happy Halloween" and the punched paper moon to silhouette the witch completes this colorful Halloween card.
You can check out the entries here at this site.
(I told you I was on a "roll"!)
is a Harvest Pumpkin Card that has the technique of "masking" in it - Challenge #51 - at icopic.com; This challenge is to use this techinque on a card.
GinaK Design "Autumn Splendor" stamp set was used to stamp the background flowers in the black - then masked two pumpkin stamps together to make a pair. Copic markers were used to color and shade the pumpkins. Autumn houndstooth designer paper, lime green card stock and brass brads finish off this Harvest card. You can check out the entries for this challenge here.
SMILE! The CFC23 Challenge was to include a card with "Smile" and/or the quote. Here is my card for this challenge here at Cas-ual Friday.
This is going along with the "Operation Julie's Smile" blog hop and projects. Old Olive and Rich Razzleberry designer paper, along with matching ribbon and brads, SU's "pinking Hearts" border punch - with a computer printed saying completes this kraft card and envie for this challenge.
And the last card "Thinking of You"- made today was for the Stamptacular Challenge. The challenge was to distress the edges of a card in some way - I ripped my paper on a deckle ruler for completing the distressed edge technique.
Love using the "paint sample strips" in this card! SU's eyelet border punch, red brads, red and black card stock, "Thinking of You" stamp, along with a variety of flower stamps and added a label a flower stamp and black ribbon
This concludes this week's challenges... maybe! Thanks for looking! Remember to hug the ones you love the most! Until next time...
