Valentine's Day / Recipe Swap - Caramel Snack

Wishing you a great Valentine's Day!  Also it's FRIDAY and here's a recipe swap for this week!  This is for a VERY addicting snack that you can make at home - easy!  My sweet MIL made this and my boys were eating this with TWO hands as fast as they could...  it's that good!  LOL!  ENJOY!

CARAMEL SNACK

1 (8 ounce) bag puff corn

2 cups Crispix cereal

1 cup butter (NOT margarine!)

1 cup brown sugar

1/2 cup light corn syrup

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions:Place puff corn & cereal in a large roaster pan.  In 2 quart sauce pan, bring the butter, sugar & corn syrup to a boil, then cook for 3 minutes.  Add the baking soda & vanilla- this will cause the caramel mixture to foam up.  Stir well and remove from heat.  Pour over puff corn in roaster and bake in 250* oven for 45 minutes, stirring every 10-15 minutes.  Remove from oven, spread out onto wax paper to cool.

Wishing you an awesome weekend ahead!

Here's our forecast in weather for the panhandle of Texas... looks great, huh!  Planning to clean out the garage and get some birthday cards finished for the swap. Enjoy the sunshine!

Thanks for stopping by!  Remember to hug the ones you love the most, until next time...
