Here are our final designs for the 2024 Moogly blankets!
What is a MOOGLY blanket? It's a yearly, stitch-along crocheting project that you can join by making a 12" square from a selected color scheme of yarn (of your choice) every 2 weeks! Each month, selected artists create a uniquely designed crochet pattern that they are willing to share. 24 squares are then put together at the end of November, a border is added, and the blanket is complete! If you are interested in super cool and unique patterns for 12 squares - they've got a TON of them here at this link! Moogly CALS (crochet along) have been active since 2014!
Kyle and I have often participated in this stitch-along. There is ALWAYS something new to learn with these squares with crocheting! We each picked 4 colors, along with a white, for each of these blankets using 100% acrylic yarn and a size 6 crochet hook.
Here is Kyle's blanket. He combined squares from the 2023 and 2024 patterns to complete his blanket. His color scheme included light blue, orange, navy, olive, and sunshine yellow. I had reservations about this color scheme, but it works beautifully together! This blanket is so beautiful!
Here is my blanket. I mainly used square patterns from 2024. This year, I used khaki, navy, crimson red, and beige for my color scheme in acrylic yarn. This blanket went to a cousin and his new bride! Hope they enjoy this crocheted blanket for many years!
