An "Oldie, but Goodie" -Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe

Hello there!
How are you?
There hasn't been a recipe swap posted in a while - I've got an "Oldie, But Goodie" chocolate-chip cookie recipe to share today and some links for other recipes that we've tried over the last couple of weeks.

This cookie recipe, I've had memorized since "way back"..., is one that has never failed! Over the weekend, I was cleaning out our kitchen cabinets and found about 4 partial bags of assorted candy chips... so I made this recipe and dumped all of the chips into the batter... LOL! The cookies were AWESOME - we had semi-sweet, mini, large chunk, milk chocolate and a dab of butterscotch chips - all wrapped up in a mouth-watering cookie! ENJOY!

Chocolate Chip Cookies
1/2 cup Butter-flavored Crisco
1 stick of butter
1/2 cup Sugar
1 cup of Brown Sugar
1/2 tsp. Baking Soda
2 Eggs
1 tsp. Vanilla
2 1/2 cups Flour - all purpose
1 bag of Chocolate Chips

In a large mixing bowl beat the shortening and butter with a mixer for a minute - or until everything is blend well. Add the brown sugar, sugar, vanilla and baking soda. Slowly add flour to batter. Beat batter until all is combined. Hand mix the chocolate chips in cookie batter and drop out onto a ungreased cookie sheet - 375 degrees for 10-11 minutes. Makes around 4-5 dozen; depending on size of cookies!

We can usually eat all of the cookies up within 2-3 days!

Here's some more recipes that we've
tried over the last couple of weeks. Found an very tasty Jalapeno Dip here - Woooo! Very tasty...

This recipe is a monthly ritual - a "must" for us... to always some on hand to dip a chip, to top

baked chicken or spoon into an omelet - the PW's Restaurant Salsa.

Tried her (Pioneer Woman) Olive Bread - it has both green and black olives w/cheese on bread -

what's not to like? It just measured an "okay" with us - other raves about this bread - more like a olive pizza to us.

Also fixed the PW's Potato Skins on Saturday.
These Potato Skins are soooo good - throws me back to my college years - eating these at the Copper Caboose and watching the guys play pool. Aaaahhhh the memories!

Can you tell I love, love, LOVE the Pioneer Woman's recipes?

Hope you are hungry now! LOL! Not really, just sharing some recipes with ya! Hope you are well and happy and everything is going
PER-FECT-O!

Thanks for stopping by! Remember to hug the ones you love the most! Until next time...
