Survived LTC & Easter...

Whew! What a weekend...
How was your Easter?
Hopefully you celebrated and had a great holiday! Hunted Easter Eggs, ate good food with your family, worshiped at church - really miss the whole egg hunt thing - my kids are too old (boo!)! But we did dye some boiled eggs (yahoo!) for some Easter deviled eggs!

We celebrated in Dallas w/ some of our church family and lots of the youth during our annual LTC (Leadership Training in Christ) convention at the Hilton Anatole. We took a total of 63 kids this year - largest group to date! Our boys competed in 5 events there; plus pre-convention and challenges - making a total of 13 events in all - each! It was an excellent experience and a real treat watching and supporting our members and youth! But we all are super tired... Here's some pics to share from LTC:

Staying at the Hilton Anatole was a treat! The artwork is FANTASTIC. They spent over $120 million in renovations since the last time we were there last year. They have added this non-objective, moveable artwork "thing" up in the middle of the hotel - hanging from the ceiling - that is soooooooo wild. Main question of the day: "What is it?" My reply - "It's just art, enjoy it!" Here is a "you tube" video for you to get the full effect with the changing colors and movements - so bizzare - VIDEO LINK

Of course, we had to geocache in Dallas - grabbed 15 on Saturday and Sunday and dropped off 3 travel bugs! Geocaches are EVERYWHERE! Oh! We finally got a FTF - "What's that...?" It's a "First To Find" - VERY hard to get! When a new cache is published on the website - to be the first to find it and sign the log - it's recorded as a FTF and sometimes you get a surprise - ours was 2 AWESOME gadget tools for geocaching - got the boys up at 10:15 PM to make the run - but it was worth the effort!

Hope you are back to a "normal" schedule and doing well! We've got TAKS testing for us here in Texas, gymnastic recitals, baseball games and some MAJOR practicing piano for the up and coming JUDGE competition (argh!) planned for this week!

Thanks for stopping by! Remember to hug the ones you love the most! Until next time...
