We enjoyed a fun weekend - that was badly needed! Rest, fun and some "down time" - along with yard work and the weekly laundry!
Friday night, the whole family enjoyed the Childress Production of "Wizard of OZ" - WOW! What talent we have in our small town! Here's a link here to get more info! Each member of the cast and crew did a superb job - making a great show for all to enjoy! We recommend it to anyone thinking of going!
Saturday was our 3rd annual 4-H Family Fun Day - we had face painting, a pumpkin walk, horse shoes, Red-neck golf, a fishing booth and a lunch of Nachos - all for FREE! Giving back to the community - was the objective. This year we had fewer attend, but we still had a great time! Here are the boys with their pumpkins!
Also attended Aric's last flag football game - here's a pic of their #1 fan - the "ging" along with her posters! She made two posters to cheer on the team! Sam the Coach did awesome with his group of kids (4th-6th graders). We had a great time watching this organization play. The Steelers had a great season - next year, he'll be playing as a CJHS Bobkitten! Argh!
Here are some card challenges that I was able to complete also!
"Baby Girl" for the icopic.com
Requirement is to use copic markers and create a card for a baby!
I used some pastel print designer paper scraps, hearts, pink ribbon, pink rhinestone bligs on a white base card. SU's "Happy New Baby" stamp - coloring with RV21 & Y08 copics.
The next challenge is a "Case a DT" on the StampTV Free For All Friday Challenge -
project. This challenge was intimidating because Donna B. is awesome. Here's her project to the left.Mine on the right... My "twist" included the same GinaK Design stamps - but paper pieced it, used designer paper and card stock from the "Falling For You" stamptv kit - embellished with hemp twine and gold dots.
Next card is for a challenge sketch at The Sweet Stop Blog SSS #31 Challenge that is using sketch #69.
The sketch is to the right - and my entry is to the left. The other requirement is to use PINK - for Breast Cancer Awareness. Used some digital paper "Neapolitan" from Gina K Design in the freebie section, a HOPE metal medallion, pink ribbon, pink rhinestone, pink & sand cs along with white!
The last card project is SNOW for the Anything Goes Challenge
I've been stuck on red, black and turquoise for a couple of weeks now in a color scheme! It works well together - The requirement is to use "Lettering" in the design of the card. SNOW is my word of lettering (cut with a/cricut) along with red and turquoise snowflakes stamps & color scheme. Cuttlebug "Snowflake" folder used for the embossed background - "Let It Snow" GinaK Design stamp, glitter, and black ribbon.
We have a 10% chance Wednesday night for Snow - LOL! Yeah, right...
Hope you had a FUN WEEKEND also! Thanks for stopping by! Remember to hug the ones you love the most - until next time...
