Classic Chicken Noodle Soup Recipe

Hello!
December "brrrrr" greetings to you!
Hope you are staying WARM today! Haven't posted a recipe for the last 2 weeks - here's a classic -
"Chicken Noodle Soup"!
Can't go wrong with this simple recipe on a COLD day... perfect meal! We had this Thursday night... and then Friday for lunch - it's still good the next day... and the day after that!

Chicken Noodle Soup

4-6 skinless Chicken Breast
(or substitute about 2 cups of leftover chicken - rotisserie chicken is awesome to use!)
4 cubes Chicken bouillon
8-10 cups of water
1/4 cup chopped celery
1/4 cup minced onion
1/8 cup shredded carrots
salt & pepper to taste
1/2 stick of butter
1 pkg egg noodles

Add water, bouillon and chicken to large pot (unless chicken is already cooked; then just heat water and bouillon) cook until chicken is done! (6-8 minutes of boiling time). Cube up chicken and add back to heated water. Add egg noodles, onion, celery and carrots and bring back to a boil and cook for an additional 8 minutes. Add butter; stir until melted; season to taste - and Yummmmmmmmm - homemade chicken noodle soup - it's good! ENJOY!

The chicken bouillon that I use is one that was recommended to me by a sweet, dear friend, that I'm sure is cooking up in heaven for all to eat... its the Knorr's Chicken bouillon " de Pollo" - that spanish for chicken, ya know! LOL! It's not a rock-hard cube - it's a cube of soft, moist seasoning - that is excellent to use in any thing! Try it! I have beef and tomato bouillon also in my pantry that I use frequently!

The "A Team" have posted each of their family favorite SOUP recipe for the month of December on the left side bar of our blog! Alex's recipe is Corn Chowder, Aric choose the Baked Potato Soup (be sure and PIERCE your potatoes before baking...or they EXPLODE!) and Andy's is our version of Taco Soup but we like adding the "15 Bean" soup mix - so we call it "Cowboy Soup"! Great to eat and watch the "Cowboys" play football on TV! Nothing is better, than a man cooking in the kitchen...( or washing dishes, or vacuuming, or_____________ - what do you like? LOL!) !

OMG! KV took Alex and I to the Ritz in Wellington, TX to finally see NEW MOON! It was a good movie; it stuck right to the book. The theatre was FULL of kids - it's always fun to watch with a crowd, I think! Guess we three have made it a tradition of seeing the Twilight films together and in Wellington... we ditched Aric and went! LOL - No! He was spending the night with a friend and he could of cared less if he missed the movie! Hee hee!

We are Christmas decorating the house today! I've got Career Club at my house Monday night - so I need to get my house clean and some trees decorated! Career Club is also the club where at Christmas - we "Make, Bake or Grow" a gift for each of the members. We're down to six ladies... so making 5 gifts is a snap! I'll post later my gift (duh, cards... surprised?) and what the others bring!

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great weekend and keep WARM! Hug the ones you love! BYE!
