The challenge was to create a card and envelope with a BABY theme, incorporate a chevron pattern and NOT use the colors pink or blue...
We had 5 ladies this month rise up to the challenge! These cards are so CREATIVE... you will be inspired!
CHARLENE
This card is so pretty - needs to be displayed in the baby's room! The focal point on the card in the black baby's dresser on a polk-a-dot background of green and black. Check out ALL the intricate details on the dresser with baby supplies... hanging baby onesies, teddy bear, baby blanket and bottles - all cut-outs from the Cricut machine. The dresser opens up to the card part - featuring the chevron embossed on the inside! Such a special card!
KIMBERLY
This card features a yellow chick (transformed from the SU's owl punch) with a fun yellow "plume" of feather for hair! The color scheme of yellow & green features a woodgrain chevron printed paper and a textured banner with "Bundle of Joy". With an multi-dot eyelet punched edge and stamped inside - finishes this card to perfection!
ANGIE
This card is packaged perfectly with a chevron printed sack that holds the card-tag inside. The outside features a variety of brown schemed paper cut-outs; - a large B for baby cut from the Cricut and is embellished with hemp string. The decorated stamped layered card-tag inside, also created in a brown color scheme, features a multi-string tassel and "Congratulations" tag and room to include your own written sentiments on the tag surface. This is an elegant card for any baby!
MELISSA
This card features a red/yellow color scheme with a touch of white punched eyelet trim and red ribbon. Along with colored brads and an embossed chevron paper - the punched art monkey finishes the front of this card with a smile! Here's a link for the "monkey" layout! Inside the card carries on the color scheme, eyelet punched edge along with red ric-rac embellishment with stamped baby icons and wording. This card is a cute greeting for any newborn!
MARIA
This card has the ultimate W.O.W. factor for the homemade card. This card is FABULOUS! It's a "card in the box" and it features a fold-up card that fits into an envelope - upon opening up - the card blossoms out with a variety of stamped, colorful icons and sayings that will sure to please anyone opening up this sensational card! With a variety of colors, textures and patterns - including the chevron printed paper in the envelope - this card was the one that received the most - oooohhhhhs and aaaahhhhhs of the evening!
